Due to the rapid rise in corona cases in the country, there was an earthquake in the stock market today, due to which the market fell by more than 3.25 percent. The BSE Sensex opened 625 points at 48956.65 points and it was its highest level ever. Due to selling, it slipped to a low of 47888.73 points. Right now it is trading at 47905.12 points with a drop of 1686.20 points i.e. 3.40 percent. Similarly, the NSE Nifty fell 290 points to open at 14644.65.
Shortly thereafter it climbed to the highest level of 14652.50 points. The selling started after that, it dropped to a low of 14336.75 points. Right now it is trading at 14345.35 points, falling 3.30 percent i.e. 489.50 points. It is noteworthy that the country has seen a huge increase in corona cases in the recent times and till date one day yesterday more than 1.60 lakh corona were found infected. Due to this, restrictions are being raised again in the country.
